ATHENS —
Peggy Joyce Radford, 74, of Caldwell Street, Athens, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 24, 1937 in Bland County, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Price and Ruby Victoria Clark Lambert.
She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Rich Creek Baptist Church in Spanishburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Radford; five siblings, June Smith, Janet Lambert, Paul Lambert, Shelby Jean Franz and David Lambert; and three great-grandchildren, Eliott, Donald III, and Ava Noelle.
Survivors include her seven loving children, Sheila Wrubel and Keith, Tina Radtke and Chris, Randy Radford and Colleen, Amber McClure and Donnie, Joey Radford and Tammy, Billy Radford and Sandy and Angie Radford Matthews and Dwayne; 17 grandchildren, Amber, Keith, Kevin, Bobby, Billy, Jessica, Allison, Randall, Jamie, Hailey, Donnie Jr., Machella, Kayla, Austin, Ivie, Anthony and Skyla; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janice Marska, Judy Bailey and Sharon Morin; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Pam Farmer and Linda Southern.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at the McClure Family Cemetery near Princeton. The Rev. Ralph Calfee, Pastor of the Rich Creek Baptist Church will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton Tuesday (today) from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
