CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Susan Elizabeth Graham, 44, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Duke University Hospital. Born May 24, 1968, in Princeton, W.Va., she was the daughter of Jack and Nadine Cummings of Princeton, W.Va.
Susan was a wonderful wife and mother of a beautiful daughter. She was a strong and compassionate woman who never complained and put up a valiant fight against leukemia. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all. Susan was a loving soul who embraced life and made all those who were fortunate to be in her life, better for knowing her. Besides her family and friends, Susan loved the beach and traveled to the ocean as often as possible.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Cummings; her paternal grandparents, Leander and Jenny Cummings; and her maternal grandparents, William and Alice Mann.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher; daughter, Bailey; mother, Nadine Cummings; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Marty Gentry.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Good Shepherd Church in Charlotte. To honor her wishes, she was cremated and her ashes will be spread in the ocean.
