PikeView jumped out to a first quarter lead and pulled away from Mount View Tuesday night for a 69-49 victory.
The Panthers led 14-9 after one then built on their lead in each of the remaining quarters.
Will Webster paced PikeView with 15 points and five assists while David Keen added 14 points, nine steals and eight assists. Tyler Ruble had 12 points and Jason Weitzel finished with 11 points and five steals.
Maurice Brown led the Knights with 15 points. Rashawn Brooks added 10.
The Panthers host Independence on Monday while Mount View hosts River View Friday.

LINDSIDE — The Mavericks overcame a slow start before coming alive in the third as they edged the Cavaliers.
Zach Hatfield led James Monroe with 13 points and Micah Deskins added 10. Mark Dixon and E.T. Weiss each had nine.
Josh Gallison was the lone Greenbrier West player in double figures with 12.

BLAND, Va. — Paige Brinkley scored 11 points to lead the Lady Bears to a Mountain Empire District tournament quarterfinal win.
Bland County trailed 17-9 at the half, but put up 30 points in the second half.
Alyssa Harris added nine points and 11 boards while Jessie Blessing had eight points, five rebounds and three assists. Brinkley also had six boards.
Savanna Burton had 13 points to lead Narrows.
Bland County heads to Graham on Thursday for their semifinal match-up with the G-Girls.

BLUEFIELD — The Grizzles limited the Lady Beavers’ offense to single digits in each quarter including zero in the last as Bluefield dropped their regular season finale.
Shealyn Shafter had 21 points to lead Nicholas County and Mykenzie Martin backed her with 12.
Dazia Edwards had eight points to pace Bluefield, which plays PikeView Saturday in their sectional opener at Princeton.
