MARION, Va. —
Zach Luttrell of Richlands finished in a tie for medalist honors during a Southwest District golf match on Thursday at Holston Hills Country Club.
Luttrell, who fired an 18-hole 72, tied Easton Starkey, who also had a 72.
Marion earned the team title with a four-person 318, three strokes ahead of Richlands (321). Carroll County (345) and Abingdon (347) were third and fourth, while Tazewell had just two players in the event.
Austin Blevins had a 73 to go with Starkey’s 72 to help the Scarlet Hurricane to the win. Dylan Sawyers added a 75 for Richlands and Zach Yates had a 84.
Colin Hancock of Tazewell shot a 79.
Austin Horton paced the Cavaliers with an 85, while Tanner Adams paced the Falcons with a 78.
