EAST RIVER — Richlands senior Brittany Allen, left, has added All-Region IV first team honors to the Southwest District player of the year designation won earlier this season. Allen, who was recently honored as an All-Group AA performer by the Virginia Hgh School Coaches Association, led Richlands to a 22-5 record and a state semifinal berth, scoring 21.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game. Senior Cassidy Richardson was a second team All-Region IV selection. The talented point guard contributed 12.4 points, 8.2 assists and 3.7 steals for the Lady Blues and also made 84 percent of her free throw attempts.
