CHARLESTON —
The Bluefield Beavers continued their quest for a state championship, defeating North Marion 62-51 in the Class AA state quarterfinals on Thursday at Charleston Civic Center.
Bluefield, which is the top seed in the tournament, will play either Robert C. Byrd or Tolsia on Friday in the semifinals at 7:15 p.m.
Bluefield improved to 23-3 on the season. North Marion finished 16-9.
