Bradshaw named VirginiaPreps.com Player of the Decade

BLUEFIELD —  Former Graham football star Ahmad Bradshaw has been chosen by VirginiaPreps.com as the Region IV Player of the Decade for the period from 2000-09. Bradshaw, who played at Marshall and is in his third season with the New York Giants, collected 5,265 yards and 92 touchdowns during his career at Graham. As a senior, Bradshaw collected 2,557 yards and 31 touchdowns, and accumulated 2,282 yards and 27 scores as a junior. Richlands’ head coach Greg Mance was chosen as the Coach of the Year. Other local players to be honored included Richlands’ Austin Fuller (Ath), Justin McCracken (QB), Garrett Arms (OG), Brandon Gayheart (DL), Shane Wicks (LB), D.J. Simmons (DB) and Caleb Jennings (KR). Graham was also represented by Torren Byrd (TE) and Jonathan Bovenizer (OT), while Grundy’s Albert Childress (OT) was also selected to the team.
