PRINCETON — Concord University sophomore Jolysa Brown earned the first West Virginia Conference women’s basketball player of the week honor by averaging 20 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 2.3 assists per contest in Concord’s 3-0 season start. She was 20-for-30 in field goals and 20-for-21 at the foul stripe.
The former Summers County HS standout posted a career-best point total with 32 points in a win over Davis & Elkins. She also grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds and added 18 points in a victory over local foe Bluefield College.
