Perkins lifts 500 in Rocky Gap meet
ROCKY GAP, Va. — The gym at Rocky Gap High School hosted 20 weight lifters Saturday in the second meet organized by WVVA Bench. Topping the charts was Zane Perkins, who hoisted 500 pounds in the men’s open.
The next meet is being scheduled for Memorial Day weekend.
Men’s Open
Johnathan Sweet (198 raw) lifted 335; Zane Perkins (220) lifted 500; Brian McHone (220 raw) lifted 375; Paul Beasley (242 raw) lifted 315; B.J. Kirk (super-heavyweight raw) lifted 425.
Men’s Teenage
Brandon Falgiani (114) lifted 100; James Adair (148) lifted 225; Kyle Kennedy (165 raw) lifted 215; David Williams (165 raw) lifted 160; Jonathan Turpin (181) lifted 300; Josh Shrader (181) lifted 275; Matt Maddow (220) lifted 315; Joseph Price (242) lifted 300; Josh Ferguson (242 raw) lifted 270.
