WELCH — C.J. Wiseman got the winning hit to lead Mount View to a 9-8 win over Iaeger.
In the bottom of the seventh, Doug Denton singled, moved to second on a single by Travis Day and to third after Cedric Thomas walked. Denton scored the golden run on a C.J. Wiseman single to right field.
Tyler Morsi led the Golden Knights with a 2-for-4 performance with three RBIs. Denton added a 3-for-4 day with a double and Day also went 3-for-4.
David Boyer got the win after hurling the final third of the top of the seventh.
Kurt Lester led Iaeger at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
Jarrett Roberts took the loss for Iaeger, which lost a one-run decision earlier this week to Blefield.
The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader, but the second game was canceled in the third inning due to lightning.
Mount View (1-3) is scheduled to host PikeView today.
