INDIANAPOLIS —
Laura Hill became the first PikeView High School all-American when she accepted her NSCAA 2012 Soccer Scholar All-American Award in Indianapolis on Saturday. She was among only 28 high school girls nationwide to receive this honor. Hill credited all her coaches and teammates through the years for her success.
Hill, who has verbally committed to play soccer for West Virginia Wesleyan, was joined by two other West Virginia girl soccer players: Emily Godwin of Buckhannon Upshur, who has a track and field scholarship at UNC, and Michelle Newhouse of Capital HS, who will be attending WVU on soccer scholarship.
