ROANOKE, Va. —
Sam Wright ran for 207 yards on 12 carries, including touchdowns of 54 and 46, leading Cave Spring to a 47-14 defeat of Graham on Friday night.
Josh Woodrum also threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns for the Knights. Woodrum, who has committed to play at Liberty University, completed a 33-yard score to Michael Cole, who has verbally committed to play at Virginia Tech.
Cave Spring (2-0) led 20-0 at halftime, and 40-0 after three quarters. Woodrum also ran for 71 yards.
Woodrum also connected with Reece Kingery for a 33-yard score, and another 39 to Austin Micklem.
Graham (0-2), which had gone seven straight quarters without scoring, finally got on the board in the fourth. Quarterback Aaron scored on a two-yard keeper, and the senior also connected with Aderrius Jackson on a 7-yard touchdown pass.
While the Knights rolled up 556 yards, Graham, which had the ball 10 more minutes than Cave Spring, was held to 101, one week after being held to 115 by Bluefield.
Davidson threw for 87 yards.
Graham will host Virginia High on Sept. 17.
