GARDNER —
The PikeView Panthers wrapped up regular-season play, dropping a 61-47 decision on their home court to the Wyoming East Warriors.
Brett Bowling led the Warriors with a game-high 16 points and Josh Tunstalle added 14.
Logan McKinney topped the PikeView scoring column with 11. Tanner Farley and Jason Weitzel each had three assists and four rebounds.
PikeView opens sectional tournament play Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Mount View at Princeton Senior High School.

WISE, Va. — J.I. Burton pulled away from Council in the second half for a 47-34 win in Region D, Division 1 quarterfinal action Wednesday night at the David J. Prior Convocation Center at UVa.-Wise. Burton (12-13) will face Haysi in the semifinals Friday at Lebanon.
Josh Viers led Council with 15 points. The Cobras finished the season 9-15.
