PRINCETON —
Chelsea Walker collected 15 service points, six kills and two aces, leading Princeton to a 25-12, 24-14, 25-18 win over Mercer Christian on Tuesday night, the Tigers’ first win of the season.
Princeton (1-2) also received 12 assists and six points from Kellen Mallory, seven digs, 13 points and five aces by Emily Hessami, and four kills from McKenzi Barnett.
Mercer Christian (1-1) was paced by Shannon Stephens with 33 digs and Lauren Easter with 28. Both Cavaliers had two aces apiece. Rhian Hobbs tallied two kills and two blocks.
Princeton travels Thursday to Riverside, while the Cavaliers will host Oak Hill and Princeton in a tri-match next Monday.

GARDNER — Samantha Wood scored off an assist from Laura Hill in the 33rd minute of the first half to help the Panthers improve to 7-0 on the season.
Amanda Presley had nine saves for the Panthers, which will travel next Tuesday to face Shady Spring in Beckley.

Beavers win tri-match
BLUEFIELD — Evan Smith earned medalist honors with a 37, leading Bluefield to a tri-match win over PikeView and Montcalm at the Bluefield Elks Lodge.
Bluefield had a four-person total of 180, with Alex Smith added a 45, followed by David Woodrum (48) and Kevin Brooks (50).
PikeView (202) was paced by Jordan Nelson with a 43, and 47 from Nicklaus Fletcher.
Brandon Kirby led Montalm (22) with a 46.
All three teams will participate in the Coalfield Conference meet next Monday at the Lewisburg Elks Lodge.
East topples Princeton
PIPESTEM — Ben McMillion fired a 39 and Joe Lynch added a 40, leading Greenbrier East to a three-stroke victory over Princeton at Pipestem Resort State Park.
Jack Hickman led the Tigers with a 39, while J.J. McPherson added a 40.
Zach Fleming earned medalist honors for Nicholas County with a 36.
Princeton (37-5) will travel to Tornado for the Mountain State Athletic Conference tournament today at the Big Ben Golf Club.
