CLEAR FORK — Westside jumped out to a 22-6 lead after three quarters and held off a furious rally from county rival Wyoming East to win the battle for the “Old Coal Shovel”.

Jacob Summe exploded out of the blocks for the Warriors with a 75 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the game.

Renegade quarterback Justin Cogar would be the star of this night, however, as he responded with three touchdowns, including two runs (4, 75) and a 62 yard strike to Hunter Walker. He also ran and passed for a two-point conversion, and tallied 163 yards on the ground and 108 yards through the air.

The onside kick was recovered by the Renegades to seal the thrilling win.
