Orioles victorious in final road game

Princeton eliminated from postseason

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — The Bluefield Orioles won their final road game, defeating Johnson City 6-1 on Monday night at Cardinal Park.

Bluefield banged out 16 hits, while the Appalachian League West Division champion Cardinals committed seven errors.

Jonathan Schoop led Bluefield with four hits, while Moises Ciriaco added three.

Jarret Martin picked up the win, improving to 3-5.



Elizabethton 7, Princeton 2

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. — Princeton was officially eliminated from postseason competition with a loss to the Twins.

Elizabethton had 13 hits, while Princeton had just three. Gerardo Olivares had a two-run home run for the Rays.

Eliazer Suero dropped to 1-6 on the season.
