CHARLESTON — The Bluefield High School boys basketball team won its first state championship since 1996 on Saturday afternoon, beating Fairmont Senior 63-43 for the Class AA crown at the Charleston Civic Center.
Anthony Eades scored 27 points for Bluefield (24-3). Lykel Collier had 12 points and seven assists. Corey Coppola had 12 points and eight rebounds.
