PRINCETON —
Bo Williams gave up just two hits and struck out eight batters in five innings to help the Princeton Tigers roar into baseball season with a 10-0 conference victory over St. Albans on Friday night at Hunnicutt Field.
The game ended in the sixth inning when the Tigers plated their 10th run.
Bo Williams gave up two walks in his five innings. Bryce Peek took over in relief and faced four batters in the sixth, giving up one hit.
Addison Wood was 3 for 4 at the plate for Princeton and scored twice. He had a double and three RBIs. Cleanup batter Chris Otey was 2 for 3, scored once, had an RBI and was hit by a pitch. Billy Jack Varney was 3 for 4 with two doubles, one run scored and two RBIs, and Andrew Wilson was 1 for 1 with a walk and scored twice. The Tigers had 13 hits overall.
Princeton’s game today at Parkersburg was cancelled due to field conditions. The Tigers will play at Ripley this afternoon with the varsity game at about 5.
