BRISTOL, Va. —
A fourth-quarter rally by the girls from Honaker came up four points short on Monday night, as John Battle took a 49-45 win. The Tigers had fallen behind 19-6 after the first quarter and could not make it off Bottle Hill Drive with a win in the Region D, Division 2 playoffs.
Leading the way for Honaker were senior Morgan Stevens and sophomore Laken Robinette, who scored 10 and nine points respectively.
John Battle moves on to play tonight at Wise County Central in the quarterfinals.
