NARROWS, Va. —
Rodney Perdue played a stellar all-around game, while finishing with 18 points to lead Narrows to a 52-49 win over James Monroe in the Narrows Holiday Christmas Tournament semifinals on Friday night at Narrows High School.
Narrows (3-3), which also received 13 points from Austin Lively, will play Roanoke Catholic for the championship today at 4:30 p.m.
Micah Deskins led the Mavericks with 19 points, while Caleb Brown and Chastin Wickline eight apiece. James Monroe will play Giles in a consolation game today at 1:30 p.m.
Lively made three free throws in the final 30 seconds to secure the win. The Mavericks missed a three-point attempt at the buzzer.

NARROWS, Va. — Ethan Tate made three free throws in the final nine seconds to lead Roanoke Catholic past the Spartans in the Narrows Holiday Christmas Tournament semifinals.
Tate led Roanoke Catholic with 16 points, while Tony Vassar and Josh Carpenter had 13 apiece.
Giles was paced by Kyle Chafin with 16. John Shelor added 15.
Roanoke Catholic will play Narrows for the tourney championship at 4:30 p.m. The Spartans will play James Monroe at 1:30 p.m.

HURLEY, Va. — Robel Ali scored 20 points and Mengasha and Henok added 11 apiece to lead Mountain Mission to an easy win over the Rebels.
Mountain Mission scored 27 points in the opening half, one more than Hurley would get in the game.
Hurley (2-2) was paced by Greg Stacy with 15 points.
The Rebels will play University High of Johnson City, Tenn., in a tournament next Wednesday at Virginia High School in Bristol, Va.

GLEN DANIEL — Ta’Ron Ayers drained a jumper with .9 seconds on the clock to lift the Bobcats past Liberty-Raleigh in a game played on Thursday night.
T.J. Smith led the Bobcats and all scorers with 30 points, while Ayers added 24.
Levi Cook led Liberty with 19.
Summers County (3-0) plays next on Tuesday at Meadow Bridge.
