BLUEFIELD, Va. —
There may not be any kind of rebuilding for the Graham golf team, the G-Men appear to simply be reloading.
Ben Ramsey earned medalist honors with a 75 in the first Mountain Empire District golf match of the season, leading the G-Men to a 29-stroke win over two-time defending Group A champion Galax on Tuesday at Fincastle Country Club.
Graham, which finished third in the state last season, is replacing six seniors, but Ramsey and Zach Toohey, who fired a 77, are returnees who helped the G-Men to an MED match victory.
Graham’s four-person total of 326 was followed by Galax (355), which was led by John Bryant, who shot a 77. Grayson County (374) and Fort Chiswell (412) also participated. Bland County and Narrows don’t have golf teams.
