DRAPER, Va. —
Matt Morgan, a rising junior golfer at Concord, lost in a one-hole playoff at the Southwest Virginia Amateur that was held on Saturday and Sunday at Draper Valley Golf Club.
Morgan, a product of Graham, was tied after 36 holes with Matt Chandler of Smith Mountain Lake at 5-under par. Chandler birdied the playoff hole to claim the crown.
Hunter O’Neal, a rising senior at Milligan and also a product of Graham, finished in the top 10 by firing a 1-under par. O’Nel had six birdies and an eagle in the final round.
Also among the 92 participants was Chandler Beavers, who played at Princeton and is now at Bluefield State.
