BLUEFIELD —
The gymnasium at Glenwood School is now known at “Bo Bowman Gym.” A ceremony was held at the school on Wednesday night to remember the contributions of the late-Garland Ellis “Bo” Bowman, during his 30-plus years of service to the school. Bowman, who died in 2009, served as a coach, teacher, photographer and sports journalist in the region for more than three decades. Bowman was represented by his daughters, left to right at the podium, Ami Kirk, Sandi Gallimore and Kim Bowman, who spoke during the ceremony. Members of the Glenwood basketball teams are shown holding the banner that will be displayed at the school.
