Symns scores 39 as PikeView downs Shady Spring
SHADY SPRING — Tommy Symns had 39 points, 17 in the fourth quarter, as PikeView edged the Tigers.
The game was tied with 13 seconds left but a Shady turnover led to a five-point swing.
Kevin Goodson had 17 to pace the balanced Tigers. Corey Lilly had 15, Chase Connor had 14 and Matt Severt had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Shady Spring is at Oak Hill Thursday. PikeView plays against Bluefield at Bluefield State on Wednesday.

NEW RICHMOND — Chase Morgan scored 17 points and Alex Webb added 14 as Wyoming East beat Greenbrier West 70-48 Tuesday night. Evan Muscari notched his 500th career assist to go with 11 points. Marcus Schofield added 11 points as well.
Chase Fitzwater led Greenbrier West with 19 points and Michael Johnson added 17.
Greenbrier West plays at Shady Spring on Friday. Wyoming East plays at Pikeview on Friday.

HUDSON, N.C.—PikeView’s Shane Roark and Bluefield’s R.J. Wilson scored 19 points apiece to lead Southwest Virginia Community College to a 79-66 win over Caldwell Community College on Sunday night.
Otto Fletcher added 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Justin Hall canned 10 points.
Roark also had 12 rebounds and seven steals.
The Flying Eagles improved to 12-7. Caldwell is now 13-4.
