BASEBALL

PRINCETON — The Princeton Rays will host their sixth annual Major League bus trip on Saturday, April 3. The Rays will take interested fans to Durham, N.C., to see the Major League Tampa Bay Rays play their top minor-league affiliate, the Durham Bulls, who are defending champions of Triple AAA baseball, in a 2 p.m. game. The cost is $85 per person and includes all transportation fees and game ticket. The bus departs at 7:30 a.m., and returns after the game. HONAKER, Va. — The Fourth Annual Clinch Mountain Classic has been moved to Feb. 11, 13 and 14 at Honaker High and Elementary Schools. BLUEFIELD — Fishing guide and outdoor writer Dr. Michael Smith will offer a one-day “Fly-Fishing 101” course on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Mountain View Student Residence Center. The course, which will begin at 9 a.m., introduces students to fly-fishing basics, including: knots, equipment, fly selection, casting, and presentation. Dr. Smith, professor of English and Associate Dean of Humanities at BSC, has written five books about fishing in regional lakes and streams.
