PRINCETON — Greenbrier East guards Hayden and Hunter Roberts, combined, scored 36 points, lifting the Spartans to a decisive 87-59 win at Princeton Monday night.
Hayden Roberts had 10 points in the opening quarter as GE stretched their early lead into a 27-12 margin at the end of one period.
Princeton climbed back to within nine, 29-20, midway through the second period, but committed four consecutive turnovers, enabling the Spartans to up their lead to 40-23 at halftime.
Greenbrier East, which has won five straight and eight out of 10 following an 0-7 start, was paced by Hayden Roberts with 20 points, and his brother Hunter added 16. Forward Andre Sinclair posted a double-double with 10 points and eleven rebounds.
Princeton’s only double figure scorer was Robert Redd with 12.
Princeton returns to action Wednesday at home against Capital.
