BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Graham’s Colby Hill hit a late three and the G-Men then held on for a 68-66 overtime victory over Mountain Empire District for Bland County on Saturday night.
The G-Men raced out to a 20-10 lead before the Bears rallied in the fourth quarter to tie it at 61-61.
Zach Proffitt and Corey Coppola each finished with a double-double as Graham improved to 2-1 in the district.
Proffitt had with 10 points, 10 boards and 5 assists while Coppola had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Gray Baker added 12 points, Tony Hood had 11 and Colby Hill finished with 10.
Darryl Clark led Bland County with 23 points. Asher Dillow paced him with 18 points while Chase Hankins had 10.
Graham host Fort Chiswell on Tuesday night as Mr. and Mrs. GHS will be crowned. Bland County is scheduled to host Galax at Bland High School on the same night.

BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Lady Bears limited the G-Girls to under 25 percent shooting and rallied in the fourth quarter for a Mountain Empire District victory.
Graham led 26-23 after three quarters, but Bland County rallied in the fourth outscoring the G-Girls 11-5.
Amber Eaton had 8 points for the Bears. Alyssa Harris added 7.
Liz Workman was the high scorer for Graham with 7.
The G-Girls host Fort Chiswell Wednesday while Bland County host Galax.

SUMMERSVILLE — Shealyn Shafer had a double-double to lead Nicholas County past Bluefield on Saturday. Shafer finished with a game-high 20 points and 16 rebounds.
Lauren Young chipped in nine points for the Grizzlies.
Sheila Hopkins led Bluefield with 18 points in the contest.
Nicholas County (6-4) hosts Class AA No. 1 Summers County on Tuesday.
