PikeView trailed Class AAA Woodrow Wilson by a single point, 34-33, going into the final period but got outscored 15-4 after that on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Flying Eagles 49-37.
PikeView’s Hope Nester scored 14 points, while Lyndsey Hatfield and Courtney White each had nine rebounds. Kavita Francois made three treys on her way to 17 points to lead Woodrow Wilson.
PikeView plays three road games this week, at James Monroe on Tuesday, at Wyoming East for a makeup game on Wednesday, and at Summers County on Friday.
PikeView won an abbreviated junior varsity game 43-19 behind 14 points from Katelyn Shrewsbury and Katelyn Odle’s 12 points.
