Concord baseball moves up in poll

ATHENS — The Concord University baseball team rose from eighth to fifth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region poll released Monday.

Other state schools in the poll include West Virginia State (third) and Shepherd (eighth).

The weather has not been kind, however. Concord (3-1) has had to postpone or cancel 15 games already, including today’s game at West Virginia Wesleyan.
