BLUEFIELD, Va. —
The Tazewell County Reading Bee originally scheduled for Friday has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The annual event will be rescheduled for May, according to the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce.
The annual Reading Bee competition is sponsored by the Bluefield Daily Telegraph and the literacy committee of the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce. The program was started more than a decade ago by the chamber’s literacy committee and the Daily Telegraph’s late executive editor Tom Colley.
