PRINCETON —
The driver of a tractor-trailer had minor injuries this morning after his tractor-trailer left Interstate 77 and rolled down an embankment north of Princeton.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at 10:55 a.m., near the 10 mile marker. Sgt. J.A. Alexander with the Turnpike detachment of the West Virginia State Police said the driver, a Michigan resident, told him that the vehicle suddenly left the highway. A passing motorist witnessed the crash and climbed down the embankment to help the driver.
The East River Volunteer Fire Department, the Princeton Rescue Squad and personnel with the state Department of Highways worked the scene.
