GRUNDY, Va. —
A jury has convicted a Buchanan County woman in connection with the destruction of evidence from a 2011 murder case.
Donna Sue Justus, 56, of Hurley, was convicted by a Buchanan County jury on one count of destruction of material evidence and one count of conspiring to destroy material evidence related to the June 23, 2011 murder of Danny Paul Justus, according to Buchanan County Commonwealth Attorney Gerald Arrington.
The jury recommended Donna Sue Justus be sentenced to eight years and 10 months, which is short of the 10 year maximum sentence, according to Arrington. Justus will be sentenced at a later date.
Donald Young, Donna Sue Justus’ fiancé, was previously convicted in July 2012 of the first-degree murder of Danny Paul Justus.
