PRINCETON —
Investigators were still checking the cause today of a crash that claimed the lives of a Virginia mother and son on U.S. Route 460 near Princeton.
Lois Ann Yates, 60 and her son Johnny Yates Jr., 38, both of Vansant, Va., were traveling east Thursday afternoon on Route 460 when they had a near head-on collision. A Buick driven by Elsie Peraldo, 85, of Bluefield, Va., came from the westbound turning lane at the intersection of 460 and Mt. Horeb Road, said Lt. Joe Parks of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
The case is still under investigation.
