PRINCETON —
Local law enforcement agencies were warned Monday morning to be on the lookout for a fugitive with local ties to Mercer County.
Thomas Lee Dunn, 41, left his job at a Huntington restaurant late Sunday when he took the trash out, according to the West Virginia Division of Corrections.
Dunn was serving a sentence for daytime burglary and obtaining money by false pretense in Mercer County. A warrant for felony escape was issued early Monday.
Authorities are on the lookout.
“We’ll keep an eye out for him and try to follow up leads with family members, possible friends, things like that,” said Cpl. J.C. Long of the West Virginia State Police detachment near Princeton.
