BLUEFIELD —
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Mercer, Bland, Giles and Wythe counties.
The advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. tonight to 1 p.m. Friday. There is a chance of freezing rain and sleet late tonight as a storm system approaches, and temperatures drop near freezing. Ice accumulations of up to 0.10 inch are possible, as well as an inch of sleet, according to the advisory.
