Two people were transported from a two-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Route 52 and Lorton Lick Road, according to Deputy D.A. Furches of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
A female driver ran the red light at the intersection, according to Furches’ initial report. Two people were transported to Princeton Community Hospital by paramedics of the Bluefield Rescue Squad. Furches said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

A multiple-vehicle crash was reported at 1:06 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Route 52 and Lorton Lick Road near Bluewell.
The Bluewell Volunteer Fire Department, Bluefield, W.Va. Rescue Squad and deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department are now at the scene.
There is no word at this time on possible injuries.
