PRINCETON —
Power outages may continue into the weekend in many locations as Appalachian Power crews continue with restoration efforts.
According to APCO, 90 percent of power should be restored by midnight tonight in Tazewell County while 90 percent should restored in Mercer and Buchanan counties by midnight on Friday. As power outages in McDowell County are still being assessed no restoration time has been listed for the area.
Thousands in the region were still without power this morning including 792 customers without power in Mercer County, 1,547 in McDowell County, 1,255 in Tazewell County, and 2,192 in Buchanan County still without electric service.
