PRINCETON —
The Mercer County Commission has voted unanimously during a special called meeting this morning to leave Halloween trick or treat on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the county.
Mayor Pat Wilson of Princeton also said during the commission’s meeting that trick or treat will remain on Oct. 30 in Princeton. The commissioners felt moving Halloween back to Oct. 31 would create to much confusion. As a result, Halloween will now be observed on two nights — Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 — depending upon what part of Mercer County you live in. The cities of Bluefield and the town of Oakvale, along with the communities of Brushfork and Bluewell, are planning to observe Halloween on Oct. 31.
