PRINCETON – Bond was denied today in the case of a Princeton woman facing a charge of first-degree murder in the death of her infant son.
Katharine Janelle Boozer, 23, appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court for a bond hearing before Judge William Sadler. After hearing arguments from defense attorneys and the prosecution, Sadler ruled that Boozer should be held without bond.
Boozer’s 6-month-old son was declared legally dead Feb. 9 at a Roanoke, Va. hospital. Boozer is being held at the Southern Regional Jail near Beckley.
