BLUEFIELD — Although Mercer County remains under a winter weather advisory through Friday morning, slightly warmer air is expected this weekend.
A high of 40 degrees is possible Saturday in the Bluefield area, and temperatures could climb to 43 degrees on Sunday. However, the reprieve from the snow could be short lived. More snow is expected Sunday night through Tuesday.
However, forecasters with the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Va., have not yet confirmed how much snow is expected for the region.
