Crews worked to remove a vehicle from a creek near the intersection of U.S. Route 460 and Maple Acres Road in Green Valley Tuesday afternoon.
Crews with the Bluefield Rescue Squad, Green Valley-Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department and West Virginia State Police Princeton detachment all responded to the scene of the accident. The occupants of the vehicle were able to exit the vehicle before emergency crews arrived on scene.

The trial of Earl Click, the man who was charged along with his sister, Rebecca Lynn Hatcher, with the July 17, 2012 murder of Dr. Thomas Hatcher, mayor of War, has been continued according to the McDowell County prosecuting attorney’s office. The trial had been scheduled to start on Monday.
