YUKON —
McDowell County sheriff’s deputies arrested a North Carolina man late Wednesday night after executing a search warrant at a residence in Yukon.
Anthony L. Kearse, 36, of the High Point, N.C., area, but living in Welch was arrested on charges of possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of crack cocaine, according to Chief Field Deputy Mark Shelton of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Department.
Shelton said deputies seized approximately $2,200 worth of crack as well as an amount of cash. Kearse appeared before McDowell County Magistrate Andy Vance and was released on $15,000 bond.
