TAZEWELL, Va. —
Three members of a Tazewell County family were charged in relation to a string of burglaries and officer said Tuesday more charges may be pending.
According to Town of Tazewell Police Chief DeWitt Cooper, said Merry Christina Martin, 46; her daughter Cassondra E. Martin, 23,; and son Jeremy Lee Scoobey, 30, of all Tazewell, Va., are all facing one charge of burglary. Cooper said more charges may be brought against the trio as the investigation into the burglaries continues.
Cooper said the threesome were arrested Monday evening after a search of their home in Tazewell, Va., yielded several items stolen from unoccupied homes in the town limits over the past few weeks including flatware, DVDs, coins and other valuables.
