AFTERNOON UPDATE: Online maps help voters in Va.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Voters in Virginia can find their polling precinct and follow the results online.

The State Board of Elections in Virginia is posting interactive maps on its Web site that will direct voters to the right polling place. It will also display a list of candidates appearing on Tuesday’s ballot.

After the polls close, voters can access an online map that will display the results of the statewide races by locality and the percentage of precincts reporting. A drop-down menu will allow voters to see results in the race for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general.

The maps were developed in partnership with the Voting Information Project and the Virginia Public Access Project, respectively.
