The Bluefield Daily Telegraph has announced a change in leadership.
William “Randy” Deason is no longer the newspaper’s publisher. Finance director Rhonda Watson is now the Daily Telegraph’s primary contact, though advertisers, subscribers and the public are always encouraged to get in touch directly with the appropriate department at the newspaper.
A search for a new publisher is underway, according to Frank Wood, publisher of The Register-Herald in Beckley. Wood is also vice president and division manager for Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., the privately held company that owns both newspapers.
Deason had served as the Daily Telegraph’s publisher since October 2002.
