BLUEFIELD — Police have made an arrest in connection with a weekend shooting in Bluefield.
Samuel Henry Jones, 71, of Bluefield, is charged with malicious wounding and felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the 4:27 a.m. shooting Saturday of Danny Bennett Sr., 43, of Bluefield, Bluefield Police Chief J.W. Wilson said.
Wilson said Bennett was shot one time in the leg. The man’s condition was not immediately known Monday.
