BLUEFIELD, Va. — A member of the Bluefield, Va. Town Council has resigned.
Edwin L. “Ed” Shaffrey, a member of town council since 2002, is relocating to Charlottesville, Va., according to a letter by Mayor Don Harris.
Harris said the town is grateful for Shaffrey’s years of devotion and commitment to Virginia’s Tallest Town.
