HURLEY, Va — The investigation continued Saturday afternoon into a single-vehicle accident that claimed the lives of four Buchanan County, Va., residents.
The accident occurred at 11:55 a.m., Friday on State Route 641 just south of Route 83 in Buchanan County, according to the accident report filed by Trooper J.A. Boyd of the Virginia State Police.
The four victims of the accident included Homer Endicott, 74, Vivian Blankenship, 39, Samantha Lynn “Sam” Garman, 29, and a minor child whose name, age and sex was not released, all of Hurley, Va., according to Boyd’s report of the accident.
The report indicated that Endicott was driving the vehicle — a 1986 Ford pickup truck — and that none of the victims was wearing a seat belt. All four victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Boyd’s report.
No other details concerning the accident were available Saturday evening. The accident remains under investigation.
