TAZEWELL, Va. - Tazewell County officials are still appealing to the Virginia Department of Transportation for help with a number of priority roadway concerns.
The mayors and town managers from Bluefield, Tazewell and Richlands, along with members of the county Board of Supervisors, met Wednesday morning in Tazewell with Secretary of Transportation Sean T. Connaughton to discuss transportation priorities for the region.
David Larimer, legislative aid to Sen. Phillip Puckett, D-Russell, said several transportation priorities were identified for Tazewell County, including two bridge projects in the town of Richlands.
