GARY —
A McDowell County health center will be receiving $55,000 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., announced Wednesday the Tug River Health Association, Inc. will receive $55,000 to provide more coordinated care, modeled after patient-center medical homes. Funding for the grant came from a provision in the Affordable Health Care Act and is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources.
